- 1). Cut some lengths of pretty tissue paper long enough to cover the amaryllis' fragile stems and blooms.
- 2). Place the tissue paper over the top of the plant. Secure the ends of the paper loosely around the flower's stems near the vase with tape. Be careful not to crush the blooms,
- 3). Cut two pieces of sheer fabric, such as tulle or scrim, twice as long as the plant is tall. Include the length from the bottom of the vase to the top of the flower when making your measurement. Look for fabric in holiday colors.
- 4). Lay one piece of fabric over the other in a crosswise fashion, and stand the plant in the center.
- 5). Gather up all the ends of the two pieces of material above the top of the flower. Tie the ends together with a festive ribbon.
