- 1). Hold a cotton ball in your hand, and pull its fibers apart. The material will stretch apart while staying connected. Pull the material in every direction, including from left to right and up and down.
- 2). Place the frayed cotton ball on an object, such as across a chandelier or on a brick wall. The fibers of the cotton help it stick to most textured surfaces you apply it to.
- 3). Stretch more cotton balls, and add them around the original cotton cobweb. Keep multiple cotton balls together by spraying them with a sticky hair spray.
- 4). Place a plastic spider in the cobweb to complete the decoration.
- 1). Connect three white pipe cleaners to create the "arms" of the cobweb. Place two of the pipe cleaners on top of each other, and twist them together to make an X shape. Twist the third pipe cleaner once around the center of the X to make two more cobweb "arms." Ensure each of the six arms extending from the center is even.
- 2). Cut a piece of white yarn that's about a yard long with scissors.
- 3). Wrap the yarn around the cobweb "arms" in a spiral pattern. Begin attaching the yarn in the middle of the web, wrapping the thread once around each arm as it moves toward the outside of the web. Add a dab of glue at the thread twists to help keep it in place.
- 4). Tie the yarn in a knot once it's completely spiraled around the cobweb. Create a loop at the top of the cobweb to hang the decoration.
- 5). Glue a plastic spider on the web.
