How to Transfer Pictures From a Kodak Camera Without Using Kodak Software

    • 1). Connect your Kodak camera to your computer by inserting the provided USB cable into an available USB port on the computer. The other end of the cable plugs into your Kodak camera and is typically significantly smaller than a USB connector.

    • 2). Open the "Start" menu then click "Devices and Printers."

    • 3). Double-click "Digital Camera" in "Devices." Your Kodak camera's model number will probably be included somewhere in the device name. If "Import Pictures" appears, click it and Windows will begin importing all of your pictures, and you will not need to take any further action. If the option is not available, click "Browse Files."

    • 4). Double-click either "Fixed Storage" or "Memory card," whichever you use as your main storage on the camera. Transfer the pictures manually by either dragging them to your pictures folder or simply dragging them to the desktop.
