- Ribbon ornaments, which are circular and flower-shaped, are easy to make when following Martha Stewart's seven-step guide. All a decorator needs to do is cut the ribbon, bend it into loops and secure it with tape. They can hang from Christmas trees, mantels or staircases all winter.
- Candy Cane wreaths are easy and fun for the whole family, using wire, an ivy garland from a craft store, ribbon and candy canes. Disney Family Fun recommends using wire rings, but recycled wire hangers work just as well for people with a strong enough arm to bend them. Decorators bend the wire into circular wreaths, wrap the ivy garland around the wire and tie the candy canes to the wreath using decorative ribbon.
- Tiny drum ornaments can hold candles or candy treats for children or hang from Christmas trees. Martha Stewart recommends buying small boxes and gluing ribbon around them to make them decorative. Inexpensive boxes are for sale at craft stores--and some people may even get lucky at a dollar store.
