I used to love roaming the cosmetic aisle of the grocery store, especially when there's a makeup sale. In most cases, I would buy the product and ended up not using it due to something I found unsatisfactory about the product. The worst was mascara. Most mascara would hurt the root of my lashes or would clump them up. My have very short, straight lashes (if any exist at all), so the majority of the mascara can't do its job. It helps to curl my lashes before mascara application, but that method only lasts for a few hours. Out of frustration, I would skip that step in my morning makeup routine. That is, until recently.
My eyes: small, round, and olive-shaped. I wear contacts lenses (makes application a little more
complicated).
My lashes: short, straight, and average in thickness.
I've came across a product that works on me:
Mirenesse Secret Weapon Mascara
Mirenesse Secret Weapon Mascara : Hands down, my all time favorite. My lashes are thicker and longer with no smudging/running all day long. This mascara was more gentle on my lashes when compared to Loreal's Shocking Volume: it didn't give it that dried-eye effect at the end of the day. Also, the mascara was easy to remove. Downside? It is a little pricy-er (but worth ever penny), and not stocked at any grocery store. I got mine online (see link below) and it came in the mail only a few days later.
application: First, start from the base of your lash and brush down (start with brush position on top of the lashes). Follow by a second coating with your brush positioned under the lashes at its base. Pull upward.
If you've always wanted those long, Hollywood lashes, but didn't want to venture the fake lashes. Try this mascara and you will have them.
