How to Clean an Old Tile Kitchen Floor

    • 1). Strip the flooring using phosphoric acid stripper following the manufacturer's instructions. Phosphoric acid stripper can be purchased at your local home improvement store.

    • 2). Fill your bucket with one part water and one part bleach. Sprinkle laundry detergent on a single tile. Scrub the floor using a small circular motion working one tile at time, sprinkling the detergent as you go.

    • 3). Mop the floor. Allow it to dry and repeat the mopping one additional time.
