How to Convert a VK-30 Video to a DVD

    • 1). Connect the coaxial cable into the "Out" port on the back of the VK player. Plug the opposite end of the cable into the "In" port on the video capture card.

    • 2). Launch the video editing program you have installed on the computer. Although you can use iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, there are dozens of third party programs available that function just as well or better.

    • 3). Insert the VK-30 tape into the VK player. Choose the "Capture" option in the video editor. Choose "video capture card" and the computer sets the recording default to the content connected to the capture card.

    • 4). Press "Play" on the VK player. Click "Record" in the video editor. The computer begins to import content from the tape. Click "Stop" to finish the recording process.

    • 5). Double-click the recorded file and choose the "Export" option. Title the file and select a location to save the video file to on your computer. Click the format pull-down menu and chose either .wmv or .mov. Click "OK" and the video file exports.

    • 6). Insert the blank DVD into the DVD burner. Launch the DVD burning software. Click and drag the recorded video footage into the DVD burner and click "Burn" to create the disk.
