During the beginning process, you will undoubtedly experience a lot of anxiety about the foreseeable future. The divorce process will (during the beginning) seem overwhelming. These feelings of being overwhelmed and feelings of anxiety are without a doubt caused by divorce being confusing.

During the litigation process, you will begin to regain your footing. During the litigation process you will begin to experience more stabilty in your life and you also see an increase in your confidence level as the litigation process moves forward.

Also, keep in mind during both phases of the process that divorce, although it is a very serious, life altering decision, is just a phase in your life. No matter how anxious, confused, or frustrated you may become during the divorce process, you can have peace of mind knowing that this phase of your life is just temporary and it will be over with sometime in the near future.

Lastly, also keep in mind that although you have a voice during divorce and your ex has a voice during divorce, your children are left entirely vulnerable. The problem with this being is that while you and your ex are 'duking it out' in divorce court, it will be real easy for both of you to overlook the children and the children's needs. Make sure that this does not happen in your case or if it does, that the situation is corrected in a hurry.
