- 1). Take your current gauge out of your ear and soak your earlobe in warm water to increase the blood circulation and relax muscle tissue. You could even massage your ear lobe to further increase circulation.
- 2). Coat the next sized ear taper with liquid soap. Make sure the taper is evenly lubricated, as well as your ear lobe.
- 3). Slowly insert the taper into your earlobe hole. Push gently until the taper is securely in your earlobe. If your ear starts to hurt, do not push the taper in any further.
- 4). Over time, slowly push your taper more into your lobe, gently increasing your lobe size. But again, do not push it in any further if your ear begins to hurt.
- 5). Dissolve 3 tablespoons of salt into 3 cups of warm water. Dip your earlobe into the water. This cleans your lobe, helps prevent infection, and increases blood circulation.
