The best way to do this is with a subject that provides a little bit of mystery.
Something like, "You'll never believe what I just found out the other day!" Now, most people, because they are such curious beasts, won't be able to help but open this email.

There are other ways to do this besides creating mystery.
Maybe a subject line offering a free gift will work.
The key is to make that subject stand out.
The third thing, and this is something that very few people think of, is to email at a time of the day when people are most likely to look at their email.
It is a known fact that the majority of people on the Internet come from the Eastern part of the United States and these people usually check their email between 8 AM and 9 AM every morning while they are at work or just before leaving for work.
That is when you want to do your most important mailing.
These few tips can dramatically increase your open rates of your email campaigns.
