- 1). Locate the cut in your jump ring. Place your needle nose pliers on one side of the cut and your round nose pliers on the other side. Open your jump ring with one plier moving toward your body and the other away from your body. Your jump ring should have a small opening in two directions.
- 2). Holding your jump ring with your needle nose pliers, slide one component of your clasp onto the jump ring. Slide one end of your bracelet onto the jump ring holding the clasp.
- 3). Grab the other side of the jump ring with your round nose pliers and move your jump ring back into place to create a circle.
- 4). Open your second jump ring with your round nose and needle nose pliers. Add the other component of your handmade clasp and the other end of your bracelet. Close your jump ring to form a perfect circle.
- 1). Slide a crimping bead on one end of your bracelet. Form a loop with the remaining string and feed it back down through your crimping bead. Clamp your crimping bead with your crimping tool until secure. Trim excess string.
- 2). Open a jump ring with your needle nose and round nose pliers. Slide one component of your handmade clasp onto the jump ring along with the end loop of your bracelet. Close the jump ring to form a perfect circle.
- 3). Open the second jump ring with your needle nose and round nose pliers. Slide the second component of your handmade clasp onto the jump ring along with the end loop of your bracelet. Close the jump ring to form a perfect circle.
