When we hear pick up lines, what usually comes to mind are the corny canned materials that are almost always guaranteed to get you shot down by women.
They've been used so much that it's almost a joke for any man to consider using them again.
But pickup lines don't have to be clichéd or ineffective.
You can create your own pick up lines.
Just keep in mind what they are intended to do, which is to allow you to smoothly integrate yourself into the consciousness of the woman you want to attract.
It has to be interesting enough for you to be able to start a conversation and engaging enough to include a whole group of people, in case you are approaching a group.
Here are some ways how you can create your own pick up lines: 1.
Ask for an opinion Asking for an opinion is a great way to make your entrance.
Make sure the topic is interesting and fun.
Nothing too serious, though.
Popular ones are those that involve the differences between men and women.
Questions that are somewhat controversial are also good choices, as long as the topic is kept light and fun.
Here is one example: "Long hair is supposed to be a sexy trait in women.
Is it also sexy on men? What do you think of men with long hair? What about women with ultra short hair? Are they less feminine because of it?" 2.
Interject a line or two about your environment in your question The good thing about asking for an opinion is you can use it independent of who you are talking to or the place where you are.
However, you run the risk of sounding like you are making fun of people because the question seems like it just came out of the blue.
Another way to open a conversation is to include a reference to your environment, like this: "The barman here always sports dreadlocks.
I think it's great.
But my friend over here thinks it's really unruly.
What do you think? Would you date a man with dreadlocks or a clean shaven man? Would you agree though that the guy in dreadlocks will have more personality?" Aside from what you say, how you say it also has a lot of impact on how your pick up line will be received.
If it's too contrived, it won't sound natural.
You'll seem like you're trying too hard.
If you deliver it without the right amount of volume and energy, they might not hear you well enough to understand what you're trying to say.
If you are too eager with your delivery, you might appear like you are forcing yourself on the group or on the woman you're talking to.
Make sure you deliver it well with the right amount of enthusiasm and energy.
