Double Jogging Stroller

Why might you want to consider a double jogging stroller? If you were used to keeping fit and going out for a run before you had your children then you are likely to want to return to running at some point.
It is not always possible to arrange for someone to look after your baby while you go out for a run, especially if you want to go out on a daily basis.
The invention of the jogging stroller has made this a lot easier but what about when you have a second child? Thankfully stroller manufacturers have caught on to the fact that many of us still wish to get out and run even when we have two young children.
It is now possible to get a double jogging stroller and there are in fact quite a number to choose from.
The downside is that they do tend to be a little bit pricey, but if you can afford it they do bring you a degree of freedom as to when you exercise and that may be well worth the money to you.
If you do decide to buy a double jogging stroller it is worth taking some time over it.
Check out the different models properly before you part with your money.
You need to make sure that you get the right one for you and your children, and there are certain considerations to take into account.
Safety is of course of paramount importance so you need to look for something which is of sturdy build and which will offer good stability when used on uneven ground.
The weight of two small children means that suspension needs to be robust if they are to be comfortable during your run.
Most double jogging strollers are designed for children of a minimum of six months of age.
It is not really recommended to go running with a baby younger than this as the ride is too unstable for them.
Other features you may want to look out for are a viewing window so that you can keep a close eye on your little ones without having to stop.
You will also need a rain cover and protection from the sun.
There are various types of wheels on double jogging strollers.
If you mainly run on grass, country paths and so on then you are best off getting a stroller with larger wheels.
On the other hand if you stick mainly to paved areas then smaller wheels will probably be most suitable.
