How to Build a Playhouse That Can Come Apart

    • 1). Find a large appliance box to use for the project, like a refrigerator box or television box. Check with local electronics stores to see if they have any boxes to give you for free.

    • 2). Cut the top flaps off of the box so that they don't get in the way.

    • 3). Flip the box over so the open side is the floor and the bottom flaps make up the roof.

    • 4). Tape the roof flaps together so they stay down when kids are playing. This tape can be peeled off when it's time to take down the playhouse.

    • 5). Cut a rectangle from the bottom center of one side of the box to make a door for the playhouse. Cut squares from the other sides to make windows.

    • 6). Let kids decorate the outside of the playhouse with markers, drawing shutters, bushes and shingles for added flair.
