Determine whether the control panel is locked. You can tell that the controls are locked by pressing any button on the microwave. If "Locked," "Loc" or the letter "L" appear on the display, the control panel is locked.

Locate the button labeled "Clear/Off," located on the right side of the microwave control panel.

Press and hold the "Clear/Off" button for approximately three seconds.

Release the "Clear/Off" button when the word "Locked," "Loc" or the letter "L" disappear from the display.
