  • River to River Festival -- Head downtown this summer for a full schedule of free concerts, performances, and other events.
  • Make Music New York 2010 -- Make Music New York is a live, free musical celebration across the city that takes place each June 21 — the longest day of the year. On that day, hundreds of public spaces throughout the five boroughs — sidewalks, parks, community gardens, and more — will become impromptu stages for over 1,000 free concerts. Find a performance near you.

  • 2010 Bryant Park Film Festival -- Spend Monday nights this summer enjoying free classic movies under the stars in Bryant Park.
  • Solstice in Times Square Yoga-thon -- Celebrate the Summer Solstice on Monday, June 21, with a dawn-till-dusk free yoga extravaganza in Times Square. Participate in free yoga sessions from 30+ NYC yoga studios throughout the day (7:30 AM through dusk) at the intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue between 46 & 47th Streets. The first 1,500 participants will receive a gift bag, including a free yoga mat.
  • Pride Week 2010 -- Celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Week from June 19-27, 2010. It's free to attend the Gay Pride March and street festival on Christopher Street.
  • Wimbledon at Rockefeller Center -- Visitors are invited to play tennis on Manhattan’s only grass court, sample traditional Wimbledon treat strawberries & cream, play Wii tennis, watch live Wimbledon screenings and classic Wimbledon footage, get tips from the pros at Prince and the Gotham Tennis Academy, and more.
  • Michael Jackson Tribute at Madame Tussauds New York -- To mark the one-year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s tragic death, Madame Tussauds New York invites fans to celebrate the “King of Pop” with its new Michael Jackson Tribute Exhibit, which will feature Jackson’s wax figure and the original plaster cast of his hand. The special exhibit is FREE and open to the public in Madame Tussauds lobby from Wednesday, June 23 until Wednesday July 7.
