- 1). Locate fresh sage leaves. These can be found in a grocery store's produce section, a health food store or at a local farmer's market. Choose sage leaves that have a grey-green color and a velvet texture. Avoid sage that has brown or wilting leaves.
- 2). Pour one cup water into a small saucepan.
- 3). Bring the water to a boil and remove from the stove.
- 4). Place 1 to 2 tsp. fresh, crushed sage leaves into the hot water. Allow the leaves to steep in the water for three to five minutes.
- 5). Pour the mixture through a strainer and allow the tea to cool completely.
- 6). Drink 1/2 cup of the tea first thing in the morning. Refrigerate the other 1/2 cup in an airtight container.
- 7). Drink 1/2 cup of the sage tea before bed.
