- 1). Block calls directly using the cell phone feature. Many cell phones have a built-in block feature that gives the user the ability to block any call that is received. If you have this type of cell phone, when you receive a call from an unwanted individual, touch the corresponding block key and the call will be blocked from calling you any more.
- 2). Block calls by upgrading your current cellular plan. Cell phone service providers offer specific plans for users that want a block feature. These plans allow the user to block a call either once the call is received or by inputting the number and then using the block feature as it is set up by your cell phone provider.
- 3). Warn any unwanted caller to stop calling your phone number. Tell them that you will register their number with the national registry and that they could face stiff penalties and fines if they do not cease and desist calling your cell phone number. The National Do Not Call Registry handles repeated annoying calls.
- 4). File a police report against any party that charges for unwanted incoming calls. Once you file the police report, copy that report to your cell phone provider, and if possible, they can program a block on your cell phone preventing any further calls from that individual or business cell phone.
