Kids who love to act and perform in plays, home movies or who are just the life of the party, will need to know these make-up tips.
Whether they are acting in front of a camera or up on a stage, an actor's face needs to be enhanced for the audience to understand the emotional state of their character.
By following these simple make-up tips, kids will shine in their performances.

Long before your performance, make sure to practice applying make-up to create the face of your character.
Once you have achieved the final look, take a digital picture of yourself, then use the photo as a reference tool the day of the performance.

Begin with a complete, high quality make-up kit.
It should include eye shadows, rouge or blush, lip colors, brushes and pencils.
You will also need foundations, or make-up base in a variety of shades.

First, make sure your face is clean and dry.
Next, using make-up pads, apply a liberal amount of foundation or base make-up.
Don't forget to include your throat! 4.
Use a dramatic approach with your blush, eye shadows, liners and lip colors.
This will help the audience understand your facial movements and expressions.
Use a heavier application of make-up such as redder lips, darker eye-liner, and deeper blush.

Have on hand, baby wipes, cotton balls and Q-tips to ensure you clean the creases around your nose and eyes.
