- 1). Thread both laces through the lanyard hook so that four lace ends hang down, with the two ends of one lace hanging to the left of the two ends of the other lace.
- 2). Cross the right-hanging end of the left lace over the left-hanging end of the right lace. Looking from left to right you will have an alternating color of patterns if using laces of two different colors.
- 3). Pass the leftmost lace behind the two center hanging laces.
- 4). Pull the same lace back in front of the second lace it passed behind. The two leftmost laces will have now switched places.
- 5). Pass the rightmost lace behind the two center hanging laces.
- 6). Pull the same lace back in front of the second lace it passed behind. The two rightmost laces will have now switched places.
- 7). Repeat the weave, first passing the leftmost lace behind two and over one, then the rightmost lace behind two and over one.
- 8). Grab all four lace ends together as you near the end of the laces, form a loop with all four ends and pass the ends through the loop to finish the weave with a knot.
