How to Clean the Fuel Line on Troy-Bilt Self-Propelled Mowers

    • 1). Locate the fuel line clamped between the gas tank and the carburetor on your Troy-Bilt mower.

    • 2). Squeeze the spring-loaded clamp holding the fuel line hose onto the base of the tank with the pliers. Slide the clamp off the fuel line hose and pull the hose off the gas tank. Position the bucket under the gas tank to catch the old gas.

    • 3). Squeeze the spring-loaded clamp holding the fuel line hose onto the carburetor with the pliers. Slide the clamp off the fuel line hose and pull the hose off the carburetor.

    • 4). Hold the fuel line over the bucket vertically. Spray carb cleaner into the fuel line for 10 to 15 seconds. Flip the hose a complete 180 degrees and spray carb cleaner into this end of the fuel line for another 10 seconds.

    • 5). Direct the canned air nozzle into the fuel line and blow out each end of the fuel line for 20 seconds.

    • 6). Clamp the fuel line back in between the gas tank and carburetor.

    • 7). Fill the gas tank with fresh, clean gas.
