A Cure For Depression - Myth Or Not?

If you are like many family members of mine you are suffering from depression.
You may have just found out or you may have known for years but regardless one think I am sure is on your mind is a cure for depression.
The freedom that a cure could offer to people like you I cannot put in words.
How great would you feel if you could wake up with a smile on your face and be excited to go face the world again? How great would it be to know that everything will go your way? That is what living life without depression is like.
That is what life would be like for you if we are able to find a cure.
Right now chances are you are like many others and suffer from both physical as well as psychological effects of depression.
You may experience aches and pains or an uncontrollable urge to sleep.
Your doctor has probably told you this is just part of getting old though you know all too well life is not supposed to be like this.
At times you may feel as though you simply cannot carry on.
The weight of the world is too much for you.
How will you continue to carry it? You are not alone.
So many people who suffer from depression isolate themselves and bottle up their emotions.
They are afraid or worse ashamed to let friends or family know what is going on inside.
They worry of being labeled crazy.
The truth is you are not crazy and neither is anyone else just because they are suffering from depression.
Millions of people are affected by the illness and it spares no one.
Not even the rich and famous can escape this terrible illness.
More than 60 years ago two of the biggest names in history were both suffering from depression.
Winston Churchill, the man responsible for leading Great Britain during WWII was later said to have been a manic depressant.
For someone who could have very easily been labeled crazy he was able to accomplish amazing things.
His nemesis of the time Adolf Hitler was also later said to have been suffering from manic depression.
What Hitler did is not excusable and quite frankly deeply disturbing but from a historical point of view this man nearly succeeded in taking over the entire known world.
He came closer to conquering the glove than anyone before him and anyone since.
His methods are for lack of a better term evil but what he accomplished was massive in nature.
I hope that you realize that you are not alone in this fight and there are people around the world working day and night to find a cure for depression.
It may not come from where we expect but I do suspect a cure is within our grasp in our lifetimes.
