- 1). Trace your child's foot on the brown construction paper. You can just go around the toes rather than between them. It will still be clear that your reindeer's head is a foot.
- 2). Trace both of your child's hands on the yellow paper. Go around every finger to give your reindeer lots of points on his antlers.
- 3). Cut out the hand and foot tracings. You can help your child if she is too young to use scissors, but if possible let her do it herself. Do not worry too much about how smooth the edges of the tracings are. The important thing is that your child is participating in the craft with you.
- 4). Glue the hand tracings to the "top" of the reindeer's head. This will be the front part of the foot where the toes are. The antlers should be glued to the back of the head so that they appear to be growing out of the head.
- 5). Glue on the googly eyes and pompom nose. The eyes should be a little bit under the antlers, and the nose should be located on the ball of the foot.
- 6). Add accents to your reindeer's face with the black marker. You can give it eyelashes, eyebrows, a smiling mouth or anything else that you choose. Also, you can write the date on the back.
