- 1). Make an appointment with a dermatologist to have your acne and/or rosacea checked out. Most of Galderma's products are not over the counter, so you will need a prescription. Your dermatologist can write you the prescription for Galderma; Galderma's products include some of the most widely prescribed dermatological drugs.
- 2). Call in your prescription at your local pharmacy. Go to the pharmacy and pick up your prescription.
- 3). Wash your face gently with warm water and a Cetaphil cleanser before applying creams or gels to your face. Gently pat your face dry with a wash cloth.
- 4). Follow the instructions on your prescription (most creams are applied once nightly, and most pills are taken once or twice everyday), and do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- 5). Follow your prescription up with Galderma's Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion to keep your face from drying out, as dry and flaky skin are side effects of many of Galderma's drugs. If you are taking a pill, make sure you take the pill with a glass of water (and a small meal, if your prescription says to do so).
- 6). Wash your face daily with Cetaphil's Gentle Cleanser, which will help prevent new acne from forming. Gently pat your face dry with a wash cloth to prevent further irritation.
