- 1). Grab two long-sleeved shirts or roughly two pieces of 1/2 yard of fleece material of varying colors. Identify colors that will match the outfit you plan on wearing the scarf with.
- 2). Lay the material (T-shirts or fleece) flat on a flat surface.
- 3). Cut the fabric the length that you desire. Most scarfs are long enough so that they can be wrapped around your neck once and still hang down just above your waist.
- 4). Sew the two pieces of fabric together by making a seam in the middle of the materials. Sew the fabrics together at the end that is most likely to face your body as you wear it.
- 5). Cut slits in the sewn scarf to make it more stylish. Make the slits roughly every two inches or so.
