Haircuts for Teenage Girls

    Shaggy Bob

    • This hip, punk hairstyle was worn by Ashley Greene when she portrayed Alice Cullen in "Twilight." Take a traditional bob and add a bevy of long and medium-length layers. Keep your bangs short and have the sides layered so that they fall toward your face.

This is also a versatile cut, because you can wear it spiky and punked out or you can keep the classic traditional look. Get the punk look by rubbing a dime-sized amount of hair gel in your layered bob and shaking your layers with your fingers. Blow dry your hair with your head upside down and pull your layers up and out. Wind small sections of hair around a round brush and continue blow drying your hair. Lightly mist your hair and run your fingers through your layers and strands. Pull them up and out. Drag the sides of your hair forward and lightly tease the crown portion of your hair.

Achieve the classic bob look by using a dime-sized amount of hair gel in your wet hair and then blow it dry by winding sections of hair around a large round brush.

    Long with Curls

    • Keep your long length but add style to your hair by cutting long layers throughout your head. Keep your bangs long, but no longer than cheekbone length.

Style this cut using a quarter-sized amount of hair gel on wet hair. Roll small sections of hair in large, flexible rollers and keep them in overnight. If you don't want to sleep in rollers, use hot rollers in the morning.

Remove the rollers and brush through your curls. Lightly mist with styling serum and allow it to dry. Brush through your hair again and brush your bangs to the side with your fingers.

    Emo Hairstyle

    • Emoscene haircuts are hot as of 2009, and many teen girls are sporting these pin-straight, jagged shaggy dos. This cut works perfectly on medium-length hair with long to mid-length bangs. Layer your hair throughout your head, and add a splash of color to accentuate the layers. Try hot pink or blue to make a statement.

Styling this do requires hair gel and a flat iron. Rub a quarter-sized amount of hair gel into your wet hair. Allow to air dry or, if you don't have time, blow it dry on a low setting.

Fire up your flat iron and straighten your completely dry hair in small sections. Go over sections with the flat iron that aren't pin straight. Brush your bangs off to one side using your fingers.
