Send a Fax

• 1). Click the Start button and then select the "All Programs" option. Click the option for "Windows Fax and Scan."
  
  
• 2). Click the "New Fax" button on the toolbar if you are sending a fax for the first time. This will display the Fax Setup Wizard. Follow the instructions on each screen to set up the fax modem.
  
  
• 3). Click the "New Fax" button on the toolbar to send a fax. Enter the recipient for the fax and the fax number when the "New Fax" window appears.
  
  
• 4). Enter a message in the text area below and click the "Browse" button to locate files on your system to attach to the fax message.
  
  
• 5). Click the "Send" button to send the fax.
  
  

Receive a Fax

• 1). Click the "Start" button and then select the "All Programs" option. Click the option for "Windows Fax and Scan."
  
  
• 2). Click the "Fax" button that is at the bottom of the left pane to use the "Fax View" option.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Receive a Fax Now" option on the toolbar to receive a fax. This will display the Fax Monitor dialog box that shows the progress of the fax.
