How to Reinstall Grub in Linux

    • 1). Insert the LiveCD into your computer's CD/DVD drive and restart your computer. Boot your computer from the Installation Disk.

    • 2). Open a Terminal and type "sudo grub" at the command prompt to open the GRUB prompt.

    • 3). Type "root (hd0,0)" into the GRUB prompt and press "Enter."

    • 4). Type "setup (hd0)" into the GRUB prompt and press "Enter."

    • 5). Type "exit" into the GRUB prompt and press "Enter."

    • 6). Restart your computer and remove the LiveCD from your CD/DVD drive. Your GRUB menu will be restored and you can select which operating system to use from the list of choices.
