How to Slow Down the Fan on a Medion Laptop

    Windows 7

    • 1). Click "Start" and "Control Panel."

    • 2). Click "System and Security" and select "Power Options."

    • 3). Select "Change advanced power settings" under the Power Saver section.

    • 4). Click "Processor Power Management."

    • 5). Select "System Cooling Policy." Click "Passive" under the menu to slow the fan down.

    • 6). Click "OK" to save the changes.

    Windows XP and Vista

    • 1). Click "Start" and "Control Panel."

    • 2). Click "Performance and Maintenance" and select "Power Options."

    • 3). Select "Power Saver." Locate "CPU Processing Speed" in the next window. Under it is a sliding bar with a marker.

    • 4). Click on the marker and slide it towards the left to slow the fan down.

    • 5). Click "OK" to save the changes.
