How to Configure an Acer X193W Monitor in Ubuntu Linux

    • 1). Plug your Acer monitor into your computer and switch on both devices. Allow Ubuntu Linux to boot up.

    • 2). Go to "System > Preferences > Display" on Ubuntu's desktop. If your Acer monitor isn't on the list of available devices, click "Detect Monitors" and allow Ubuntu to recognize it. If it is not recognized, press the "Mode" button on the monitor until "User" is selected. Click "Detect Monitors" again and see if Ubuntu detects it.

    • 3). Select your Acer monitor from the menu. Here you can configure such properties as screen refresh rate, resolution and screen rotation.
