How to Clean the Print Head for a C84 Printer

    • 1). Turn on the printer and allow it to finish its warm-up process. If the printer is in the middle of a print job, let it finish before proceeding. Turn on your computer and start the operating system.

    • 2). Right-click on the printer icon, located on the lower right-hand corner of the screen. In the menu, click on "Head Cleaning."

    • 3). Follow the on-screen instructions, which vary depending on the operating system you are using. The C84 will make noise and the power button will flash green while cleaning the print head.

    • 4). Click "Print Nozzle Check Pattern" once the power light stops flashing. The printer will print a page with a series of colored lines on it. Check the lines for any breaks in the color. Each line should be solid. If there are any breaks, click "Clean" to have the printer clean the print head once more. If the lines are all solid, click "Finish."
