We all get anxious.
That is perfectly normal and not a problem until it starts to have adverse effects on your way of life.
In today's fast paced world, this is happening to more and more people.
There are things you can do to combat it.
But, there are some realities you must also face.
1.
Anxiety disorders, panic attacks, and depression are not diseases of the body.
There is not one specific treatment that works for every one.
Finding what works best for you may take time, but you are worth it.
2.
Treating an individual symptom (like nausea or trouble sleeping) does not provide a cure.
3.
If you try homeopathic treatments, don't get easily discouraged.
Keep trying for at least six months before deciding whether or not it is the right course of action for you.
The problem took time to develop into a serious problem.
The cure will not be instantaneous.
4.
Seeking professional help does not mean you are crazy or maladjusted.
It means you are intelligent enough to know you have limitations and sometimes need assistance.
5.
Try therapy before psychiatry.
Behavioral cognitive therapy is a preferred alternative because it is drug free.
Anxiety disorders, panic attacks and depression are more frequently emotionally based than physical.
6.
Whatever course of action you take should be continued for at least two months after you have regained control of your life to help ensure that the problems do not return.
7.
Accept the fact that you are prone to the problem and don't delay getting help should it begin to recur.
