- 1). Setup your resting rods. Insert the bite alarm into the front resting rod then hammer two resting rods into the ground. The rods should be aligned and about two feet away from each other.
- 2). Setup your fishing pole. Rest the pole on the rods. The bobbin and the reel must rest in between the two resting rods. This will ensure that the bite alarm will go off when there is a fish on your line.
- 3). Move your bobbin close to your bite alarm. Detach your rod ring from your fishing pole and move it toward the bite alarm. This arrangement makes your bobbin more sensitive and will help show tiny movements much more easily.
- 4). Use a rod clip. If it is impossible to detach and move your rod ring, purchase a line clip. Attach the clip near three inches away from your bite alarm then run the fishing line through it. The clip will make it easier to detect smaller and bigger movements.
- 5). Turn on the bite alarm. When the alarm goes off, reel in your hook and catch your fish.
