- 1). Put 1 oz. of plastic liquid in a small saucepan. Turn on the stove and set it to low heat. Melt the liquid and stir constantly. Allow the liquid to melt, but not boil or even simmer.
- 2). Stir in a couple drops of plastic coloring. Add more coloring as needed until you reach the desired color. Add glitter if desired. Stir thoroughly, making sure it is well mixed and the glitter is evenly distributed.
- 3). Place the molds on a flat surface. Set the hooks in the mold. Carefully pour the liquid plastic into the mold. Be careful that the hooks don't shift. Fill the molds all the way up. Tap the molds against the surface ever so gently to bring up any bubbles to the surface and flatten out the liquid. Leave the mold on the flat surface and allow to start the drying-and-setting process.
- 4). Find a shallow container and fill it with an inch or so of cold water. Carefully pick up the mold and set it in the water, making sure to not tip the mold. Keep it level so the plastic doesn't spill. Allow it to sit there for 10 minutes. Then take the mold out of the water. Set a rag towel on your flat surface. Flip the mold over on top of the rag and push out the lures. Be careful not to cut your hand on the hooks.
- 5). If you like using fish-scent lubricating lure oil, drop a few drops in your palms and rub it around. Rub and roll the lures in your hand, being careful of the hook. Let it sit out for several minutes to dry.
