- Non-system processes like xprt5.dll can be stopped without affecting the operation or running of the operating system. Since it is created by a third party, it can also be uninstalled without affecting the operating system or other software processes. It is not a Windows Registry core component and only activates when the AOL program is executed. The xprt5.dll is an XP specific module.
- Xprt5.dll is not considered to be a CPU-intensive process. When a system is slow due to too many processes running simultaneously, disabling xprt5.dll may lighten the load slightly.
