How to Unlock a Screen Locked iPod, Keep Music/Photos/Videos Intact

    • 1). The first thing you want to do is to make sure you have iTunes installed. This works even if your PC is not the primary PC for syncing your iPod.

    • 2). To unlock your iPod screen first plug in your iPod and go to: My Computer. Look for the your iPod device and click on it. The next thing you want to do is to look for the hidden file named: _locked. You can do two things: rename this folder, or just delete the file. (I recommend renaming it)

    • 3). Eject your iPod safely and you are all set! All your music, photos, and video on your iPod will stay intact. I suggest you go to your iPod combination now and change it to something you will always remember. I hope this ehow article helped!
