How to Restore & Activate an iPhone

    • 1). Plug the iPhone USB cable into the bottom of the iPhone, and plug the other end into an available USB port on your computer.

    • 2). Wait for iTunes to start automatically, or click "Start" on your Windows PC's task bar and click "Programs" and "iTunes." For Macintosh computers, click "Go" at the top of the screen and select "Applications" from the menu. Double-click the iTunes icon to run the program.

    • 3). Select the "iPhone" tab in the iTunes source list, and click the "Summary" tab in the main section of iTunes. Click the "Restore" button located in the Version section of the iTunes window.

    • 4). Click the "Restore" button on the dialog box to confirm the action, and wait for the iTunes program to completely restore your iPhone's firmware.

    • 5). Select the button next to "Replace a phone on my account with this iPhone" or "Add a new line to my existing account," and then select the button next to "Active one iPhone now" or "Activate two or more iPhones on an individual or FamilyTalk Plan." Click the Continue button.

    • 6). For existing customers, enter your mobile number, account number, zip code and account password. Click "Continue" to proceed. Select your service plan, data plan and SMS plan and click "Continue."

    • 7). Enter your Apple ID and password, and click "Continue." Enter your billing information, and check the box next to the license agreement box and click "Continue." Click "Submit" to finalize the activation process.
