How to Repair a Passenger Mirror

    • 1). Push the left side of the mirror lens into the mirror housing using your hand. If the mirror is motorized, use the mirror adjuster to move the left side of the mirror into the housing. This pushes the right side of the passenger mirror out of the housing.

    • 2). Grasp the mirror with your hand and pull it outward until it is free of the housing. If the mirror does not have a motor, the lens mounts to a platform inside the mirror. If it does have a motor, the mirror lens mounts to the motor with metal clips that expand when you pull on the lens.

    • 3). Place the mirror lens into the mirror housing. The lens fits into the housing with very little room between the lens and the housing. This forces the mirror to sit in the center of the housing.

    • 4). Push on the face of the mirror lens until you feel the mirror seat inside the housing.
