- 1). Print artwork onto a small piece of paper and stick the paper into one corner of the frame's exterior. Most frames have a small gap between the plastic or glass protecting the poster and the frame border where you can slip in the edges of paper art to hold it in place.
- 2). Create art directly on the clear part of the frame. Use acrylic paints to create designs that complement the poster inside the frame or draw artwork with permanent markers on the glass or plastic.
- 3). Turn the frame border into a piece of art. Add a decorative painted pattern in colors that match the picture inside. Make ceramic tiles with artistic glazes and glue them around the frame's edge. Create a mosaic by applying craft cement to the frame and sticking glass tiles into place. Apply pieces of paper artwork with glue and seal them into place with a layer of clear varnish.
