Instructions
1Activate you SIM card before attempting to connect the 3G modem to your computer. This can be done by calling 021-596-8883. You will speak to a representative that will ask for information including an IMEI number, which will be located on the modem and the SIM card number that can be found on the back of the card. After giving the information to the representative, they will remotely activate your card. This may take several hours to complete but no longer than 24 hours, so wait a day before moving on to the next step.
2
Insert the SIM card into the slot on the side of your 3G modem. Once it is in place, connect the modem to your computer via an open USB slot. The MTN software wizard will automatically start up when you make the connection. Click "Install" on the first screen and follow the onscreen instructions to install the software and drivers necessary to access the 3G network. When the process is finished, you will see "Installation Complete" appear on the screen. Before clicking the "Finish" button, check the box next to "Launch Data Card on Windows Start Up."
3
Open the MTN Fastlink software you just installed on your computer. Click the "Connect" button at the bottom of the application and wait a moment for the modem to establish a connection. Use the Internet as usual, and when finished with your work, click the "Disconnect" button to close the connection.
