- 1). Click "Start," and type "Msconfig" into the "Search" field, then press "Enter." This will launch the Microsoft Configuration Utility.
- 2). Click "Startup," then clear the check marks in any boxes next to "NewFolder.exe" or "Regsvr.exe."
- 3). Right-click the "System Tray," and click on "Task Manager." Click "Processes," then click "End Processes" next to any running "NewFolder.exe" or "Regsvr.exe" files.
- 4). Click "Start," and type "Regedit" into the "Search" field. Press "Enter," then click "Edit" and "Find." Type "Newfolder.exe" into the "Search" field. Right-click any files listed, and click "Delete."
- 5). Click "Edit" and "Find." Type "Regsvr.exe" into the "Search" field, then press "Enter." Right-click any of the files listed, and click "Delete." Restart your computer to apply your changes.
