- 1). Launch Windows Live Movie Maker and open the movie project that you want to upload and publish to the Web. Alternatively, start a new movie project by selecting “Add Videos and Photos” in the main menu ribbon. Go to the folder that contains the video or image files you want to add. Click and highlight the files, then click “Open” to add them to the movie.
- 2). Click the “Home” tab in the main menu ribbon. Click on the YouTube, Facebook, Flickr or other website icon button in the “Share” group to open the upload configuration window for the selected site.
- 3). Click the button for the lowest video resolution option to minimize the size of the file and speed up the publishing process. Windows Live Movie Maker displays the estimated file size for each screen resolution option.
- 4). Type your login details for the selected site into the input fields. Click the “Sign In” button. Type a title and description for the movie into the applicable input fields. For YouTube videos select the video category from the drop-down list. Movie Maker now uploads your video clip direct to the website.
