How to Remove the Remaining Domain Cache in Windows

    • 1). Click the "Start" button in the Windows task bar. Select "Run" if you are using Windows XP. Enter "cmd" into the text box and press "Enter." Users who have Vista or Windows 7 enter the "cmd" text directly into the Start menu text box.

    • 2). Enter "ipconfig /flushdns" into the command line window and press "Enter." This flushes and removes the domain cache from the computer.

    • 3). Type "ipconfig /displaydns" into the command line to confirm that no cache entries are in the domain cache any longer.
