- 1). Browse to the Nero Tools and Utilities website (see Resources). Click the "Nero General CleanTool" tab, and then click the "Download" button. Save the file to the desktop.
- 2). Right-click the file "General-CleanTool.zip" on the desktop when the download is complete, and select "Extract All." Click the "Extract" button to extract the archive. Windows automatically opens a folder showing the archive's contents.
- 3). Double-click "NeroCleanTool5.0.0.18." A window titled "Browse for Folder" appears.
- 4). Navigate to the folder "C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 10." Click the "Nero 10" folder, and then click "OK." You should now see "Nero" in the "Nero General CleanTool" window under "Products to Remove."
- 5). Place a check in the box next to "Nero" and click "Clean."
- 6). Click "Yes" to confirm that you want to remove Nero from the computer.
- 7). Click "Yes" when the tool prompts to ask whether you would like to remove your Nero personal settings.
- 8). Click "OK" when prompted to restart the computer.
