How to Turn Off a Print Spooler Service

    • 1). Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously on your keyboard.

    • 2). Type "Services.msc" and press "Enter." This loads the Services Management component. All services are listed in the right pane in alphabetical order.

    • 3). Right-click "Print Spooler" in the right pane.

    • 4). Select "Properties," and then press the "Stop" button. This closes the service and frees up the resources that it was using.

    • 5). Click in the "Startup type" drop-down menu, and change from "Automatic" to "Disabled." This will prevent the service from starting up the next time you start your computer.
