How to Remove a PT EGR Tube

    • 1). Park the PT Cruiser, set the parking brake and wait for the engine to cool down before proceeding.

    • 2). Disconnect the negative, black battery cable from the battery with a wrench.

    • 3). Unscrew the EGR tube from the manifold with a socket wrench. The EGR tube is located on the rear of the intake manifold, towards the back of the engine compartment. The tube is black and about 1 inch in diameter.

    • 4). Unbolt the other end of the EGR tube from the engine block with the socket wrench.
