How to Recover a Disk on XP

    • 1). Connect the computer to a power adapter if you plan to recover the disk on a laptop.

    • 2). Close all open programs.

    • 3). Click "Start" and select "All Programs."

    • 4). Select "System Recovery" and choose "PC Recovery."

    • 5). Select the "PC Recovery" option when the list appears and click "Next." Wait for the computer to restart.

    • 6). Click "OK" when the "Welcome to PC Recovery" screen appears.

    • 7). Choose "System Recovery" and restart the computer when prompted.
