How to Burn a DAT File to CD

    • 1). Insert a blank CD into your computer's disc tray and wait for the CD to be read by the drive. Click on the "Burn files to data disc" option in the "Auto Play" window that appears.

    • 2). Specify a name for the disc in the text box and click "Show Formatting Options." Choose "Mastered" and click "Next" to format the disc. An empty disc folder will appear when the format is complete.

    • 3). Right-click "Start" and choose "Explore" to access the Windows Explorer utility. Open the folder that contains the DAT files you want to burn. Click on a DAT and drag it into the empty disc folder. You can drag multiple files at once by holding "Ctrl" while you click.

    • 4). Click "Burn To Disc" on the menu to initiate the burn process. The burner will copy the DAT files to the CD and eject the disc once the burn process is complete.
