How to Clean Antique Car Upholstery

    • 1). Vacuum out the seats and upholstery in the car using the wet/dry vacuum. This will remove any loose dirt from the interior and make sure that it's as clean as possible before you start using products.

    • 2). Spray the seat with the upholstery cleaner. Allow it to sit for 3 to 5 minutes, then wipe off the excess cleaner using the sponge. If the upholstery is fairly fragile, then you don't want to go past this step, because you risk damaging the upholstery. But if you can sit in the seats without tearing the cloth or you can tell the material is thick enough, proceed to the next step.

    • 3). Spray the seat with the upholstery cleaner. Allow it to sit for 3 to 5 minutes, then scrub it off using the upholstery brush. This is going to work off the dirt in the seat and will get it completely clean.

    • 4). Vacuum the seat a final time, which will get off any excess cleaner. Once complete, allow the seats to air dry for a few hours before sitting on them.
