How to Repair a Config Sys File

    • 1). Click the "Start" button and then click the "Programs" icon.

    • 2). Click on the "Accessories" icon and then click on the "Command Prompt" option.

    • 3). Type "sfc /scannow" into the command prompt and press the "Enter" button.

    • 4). Wait for the scan to complete. This could take up to 30 minutes to complete. A progress bar will appear to signify the progress of the scan.

    • 5). Click the "Restart" button when prompted. This will appear once the scan is complete. Wait for your computer to restart with the system files fixed.
